Swansoboro, NC, will host the 53rd Annual Mullet festival October 11-12 in downtown Swansboro. Join friends and neighbors for a great time. Mullet dinners available as well as a variety of other food. There will be music and craft vendors and all the shops will be open as well.

Emerald Isle Holiday Parade

Emerald Isle Holiday Parade sponsored by the Emerald Isle Business Association and the Town of Emerald Isle will be held November 29 starting at 4pm. Everyone is invited to Merchant's Park directly following the parade for the official Christmas Tree lighting. Enjoy free refreshments as well as a holiday caroling sing-a-long as Santa Claus visits with the children.

Friends of the Western Carteret Library present Presidents and Their First Ladies, a dramatic portrayal of 31 of our First Couples. It will feature Jack and Jackie Kennedy, played by William and Sue Wills. Event takes place on Sunday, October 26 at Emerald Isle Baptist Church beginning at 7pm and will be followed by coffee and dessert. Tickets benefit the library and are on sale for $10 each at the Western Carteret Library and Emerald Isle Books (inside Emerald Plantation Shopping Center).
