And today the weather changes once again here on the Crystal Coast.
From White Heron Lane on Raymond's Gut just off the White Oak River, it is about one mile to the houses in the blog picture that are on the other side of the river.
I took the picture so the chop on the river would be obvious. There are two things that signal it might be a good day to stay off the river. One is that choppy water on the river, and the other is those big pines moving in the wind.
I would guess we have a steady wind of ten to fifteen miles per hour with gusts over twenty miles per hour.
That does not shape up to be the kind of day that I enjoy on the water. The slap, slap of the water on the boat can remove a little of the boating pleasure.
I believe the weather prognosticators said we had a front coming through this morning. That would match well with our current conditions of winds and the only piece of blue sky being far to the east south east.
It is certainly not a good day for kayaking, but with the winds coming from the west south west, we should see some warmth. I will take every fall day we get in the eighties and enjoy it.
If the forecast of morning showers turns out to be on the money, it might be a good day to get in some serious writing.
I am sure that I will find some entertainment for the afternoon.
