What a difference a day makes

I would have to say that we had a changing of the seasons between yesterday morning and this morning.  Our temperature at 53F was over twenty degrees cooler this morning.  We also have a cool damp breeze from the north.

Yesterday, just before we left for church our thermometer on the front porch was reading 81F in the shade.

I guess that is why I had such an enjoyable boat ride yesterday morning before church.  I thought that the reflections on the water were very neat.

It will take me a while to forget how warm it was on the river.  I wish it could have stayed that warm for the rest of the month.  I suspect that is pretty hard to do considering places like Denver have already seen a lot of snow and our weather comes mostly from the west.

The good news is that our growing season is already longer than it was last year.  Our first frost iin 2008 came on October 30.  This year as you can see, the roses are still blooming.

So far the forecast this week shows nothing worse than the upper forties.  If that is the case my tomatoes should be safe for another few days.  I would love for them to make it into December, but the weather will have to cooperate.

We are going through another set of relatively "high" high tides.  I will have to go out and snap a picture in a few minutes.

Well here is hoping that this morning is the worst we will see for the week, and that our blue skies will return soon.

I should also wish my friends in Edmonton, Alberta well this morning.  They awoke to a balmy 23F.  It is a good thing that most of the city is inside.

I managed to update my main Crystal Coast/SOBX website last night as well as do a post on personal responsibility.  It is amazing what you can get done in the evening after a two hour football nap on Sunday afternoon.
